2 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your Uganda gorilla trekking safari begins with an early morning departure from Entebbe or Kampala, heading southwest toward the legendary Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The drive takes you through changing landscapes—rolling hills, cultivated farmlands, local villages, and lush countryside—offering an authentic glimpse into rural Uganda.

You will stop en route for lunch and scenic photo opportunities before continuing to your lodge near the park. Upon arrival, check in and enjoy a relaxed afternoon surrounded by rainforest sounds. Depending on your lodge location, you may enjoy a short community walk or simply unwind in preparation for the next day’s trek. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

After an early breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters for a detailed gorilla trekking briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will then be assigned a gorilla family and begin your guided trek into the forest, accompanied by experienced trackers and armed rangers.

The trek can take anywhere from 1 to 5 hours depending on the gorillas’ movements, but the reward is extraordinary. Once located, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing the gorillas as they feed, interact, and move through the forest—an encounter that is both humbling and deeply emotional.

After the trek, you return to the park headquarters to receive your gorilla trekking certificate before beginning your return journey to Entebbe/Kampala or connecting to your onward destination.
