Day 1: Transfer from Entebbe / Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your Uganda safari begins with an early morning pick-up from Entebbe or Kampala, followed by a scenic drive to southwestern Uganda. The journey takes you through rolling countryside, tea plantations, traditional villages, and highland landscapes. A stop at the Equator allows for photography and refreshments before continuing toward Bwindi.

Arrive at your lodge near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the late afternoon. Spend the evening relaxing and preparing for the next day’s gorilla trekking experience.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha

After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a detailed briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You then begin your guided gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, walking through dense rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. Trek duration varies depending on the gorillas’ location, but the reward is an unforgettable one-hour encounter observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat.

After the trek and lunch, depart Bwindi and drive north toward Queen Elizabeth National Park through the scenic Ishasha sector. This region is famous for its tree-climbing lions, often spotted resting in large fig trees. Enjoy a game drive en route as you search for lions, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and a variety of birdlife before continuing to your lodge inside or near the park.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Safari

Begin the day with an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, one of the most productive wildlife-viewing areas of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This open savannah is home to lions, Uganda kob, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, and occasionally leopards, making it ideal for photography and Big Game sightings.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. This cruise offers exceptional wildlife viewing, including large pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and one of the highest concentrations of water birds in East Africa.

Day 4: Departure – Return to Entebbe / Kampala
